Opening a new pharmacy?
Think Concepts know pharmacies inside-out. We’ve helped hundreds of new pharmacies open their doors – without the headaches. And we can do as much or as little as you need.
We make the process of getting set up super easy – from sorting your IT systems and hardware, to making sure your dispensary labels are ready to go. We can also liaise with other service providers such as electricians to install equipment and get everything signed off and audit-ready.

Warner approached us for assistance in setting up his new pharmacy – a project we are intimately familiar with. He wanted to ensure that not only, would he have the right IT equipment for the pharmacy but that we had the knowledge to help him meet audit requirements.
We liaised with multiple vendors to ensure the pharmacy set-up project went as smoothly as possible which included procuring and installing multiple PC’s, networking equipment, a phone system, printing and e-fax. The MOH requirements from an IT point of view, were completed in order to pass the initial audit to run a pharmacy. Warner was kept informed at every step of the way through the project and had this to say about his experience:
"Dealing with you and Simon was very professional
and helpful which made the IT side of the business a
breeze. Thank you so much Think Concepts."
- Warner Lin, Pharmacy Manager/Director
St Martins Pharmacy and Waltham Pharmacy
"I contacted Think to provide a wireless link between St Martins and Waltham Pharmacy (a distance of 1.5km). The speed and service time was remarkable.

On the day scheduled for installation they set up all hardware (dishes and required cabling to get line of sight). Any issues encountered were resolved on the day, as there were issues with getting line of sight. However, these were overcome, when it’s fair to say others would have just said it’s not possible. The link works perfectly in my view and the speed of the connection is remarkable. We have had NO issues with the link since inception in November last year. I would have no hesitation in installing another with Think Concepts being my first phone call."
- Warwick Kerr, Pharmacist.
Cavendish Drive Pharmacy
“Getting a new Pharmacy ready to open requires a lot of last minute organising regarding a number of different tradespeople. Installing the IT is always one of the last tasks to be performed and Matt Leigh from Think Concepts needed to summon a huge amount of patience and organisational ability in order to get the required results.”

There was no line of site between the two pharmacies but Trish’s home was located on the top of a hill and had a line of site to both. Our job was to put up a satellite at Trish’s house connecting the two pharmacies together from her residential address.
Here's what Trish had to say:
“To create a wireless network link between the two pharmacies. There was no clear line of sight between the two sites, so Think Concepts ingeniously solved that problem by creating a V link with a third aerial strategically positioned at a high vantage point which had line of sight to both pharmacies. This just happened to be at our residence, so we have security knowing our network link will never be interrupted.”

Wainuiomata Pharmacy
We supported the Wainuiomata Pharmacy team join two Pharmacies into one location. This new location is close to Wainuiomata Medical Centre and the Pharmacy wanted to offer a gift to those who visited the Medical Centre. The gift being free WiFi! We made this possible with a wireless link.

However, free WiFi wasn’t only a gift for visitors to the Medical Centre. Wainuiomata Pharmacy were also interested in leveraging the free WiFi as a means of marketing and promoting their business.
Wainuiomata Pharmacy approached us for a solution and we put our Consultant Keiran on the case. Using their current unlimited UFB (ultra-fast broadband) connection, Keiran proposed a wireless link to the new Medical Centre. This involved a one off install cost then a small fee for Think Concepts to then manage the wireless link.
Our clients had a few specifications for their free WiFi network and Keiran was able to create a solution which met these specifications. The first being time and data limits for each user and restricted access for staff. The second being a requirement for user isolation from the Pharmacy network. The Medical Centre requested no access to the WiFi for users who are sitting in the Medical Centre car park and that the network is only broadcast during opening hours.
Since the installation the Medical Centre has allowed the Pharmacy to put up a poster with the Pharmacies details and marketing on the WiFi sign in forms.
